The New State Cinema is a single-screen-at-heart, three-screen movie house in a restored 1930s Art Deco building in downtown Newton. We run the new releases, slip in the occasional classic, and keep it clean, friendly, and easy on your wallet.

It's a proper old movie house — a big screen, a room with character, and a night out that feels like one. Getting here is easy: free street parking out front, public lots nearby, and plenty of places to grab a bite within a short walk.
